Quarantine (Karantina)
After weathering the uncertainties of flights and travel restrictions, our family successfully made the journey from our home in Turkey to our home in America. As I sit here, with the children playing in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard I feel thankful for our health, for a beautiful lake to quarantine at, for all the people who have been working hard to disinfect each environment that we have been moving through as we have traveled from quarantine to family visits and finally home, for good books to read on the long road between here and there and for technology that lets us keep in touch with our dear friends and neighbors back in Isparta. We mourn with those who have lost much during this season, pray for those who are ill, and thank God for the small daily blessings we find each day.
